I really like this tool, it is small, fits everywhere and is easy to use. I've used a dermaroller in the past and it was kind painful and hard to use. I have severe acne scars and by using it weekly is helping with it. It’s also helping with my dark circles (but be careful). I will try next with Vitamin C to try to get more results. For now I am using it only after the shower with the face completely clean. I want to use more to ensure I really like it. I will update once I have long term results.

Been using it for a month now and I already see improvement on my face. Less acne breakouts, smaller pores and clearer skin in general since it induces a light peel a few days after you use it.

This is my first time using a pen for micro needling. I've used a roller in the past and this is the next step up. It is easy to use with a simple set up and easy to understand instructions. I like that the needles come in various counts and are in individual sealed packages. This packaging protects the needles from bending or becoming contaminated.
Snapping the needles on is simple and setting the preferred depth is straightforward. It helps to set up the pen first and then numb your face, wash it, and then give it a wipe of alcohol. Keeping the area clean and not touching your face is really important. If you must touch your face be sure to wipe your hand with an alcohol wipe first. Once ready, apply hyaluronic acid for slip and gently press the pen to your skin. You can choose a cross hatch or circular patterns. When you are completely done, just snap off the needle cartridge and dispose in a safe container. Do not reuse the needles. I found it helpful to view some YouTube videos about the M8. They gave me the confidence that I could do a spa treatment safely in my own home. There are many sellers on Amazon for this device, but I chose this company because of their 2 year warranty for the M*8.

Having only done the roller and not really getting much results I wanted to see if something more professional would work. I’m on the fence! This pen comes with everything you’ll need to start your micro needling journey. The pen is sturdy, the needles have varying depths. It’s easy to use. I started with the mildest as I was nervous. It’s actually not difficult. But it takes time and you really need to dedicate yourself to doing this. Having had professional in office treatments, this will definitely save you money, but it’s not the same. Micro needling does work, but I’ll likely still get professional treatments as I think they are a bit more effective. But I’ll use this in between to keep up results.

This tool is the perfect size and shape to get home micro needling done. I used it yesterday for the first time and though I have used other tools before, the weight and the cartridge seem to work well together with a pretty much effortless glide together with some Hyaluronic Acid Serum. The adjustments for depth are easy to use and seem well-placed and sturdy enough to give the impression this tool is going to last a long time. The two-year warranty is appreciated and obviously more than the usual 30-60-90 day-1year which most tools offer these days. In addition, I took advantage of the $30 discount coupon on Amazon which made it far more affordable as it comes with 8 sterile cartridges ready to use. This newer model also has three slots in the chamber to hold the cartridge tightly in place which is rather important compared to the older models with two. TBL; a good tool for a good price with a 2-year warranty.

This is a great microneedling pen, but as far as I can tell, it's identical to all the off-brand microneedling pens. It has the same exact design, controls, uses the same cartridges. The only difference is this Dr Pen brand one only comes with 8 cartridges, whereas "off brands" often come with 20+ cartridges.

That being said, microneedling in general has really improved both my skin and hair. I've used it at home to significantly reduce my acne scarring, and am seeing some very impressive hair regrowth in areas that had receded.

This particular microneedling pen is very good. 6 speeds, well made, but only comes with 8 total needle cartridges. Other pens come with as many as 20, and still cost less than this one..

From my testing, essentially all the electric microneedling pens function exactly the same. I've tried quite a few now, and they are all nearly identical. The biggest difference between the different pens is the number of cartridges each comes with.

Technique:
Watch some videos online first and start slowly. Always start with a very low needle depth of 0.5mm or less to learn what you are doing first and to test it out. The general recommendation is a "checkerboard pattern" That is: vertical, horizontal, then diagonal. You stop once redness shows up, as that is generally the desired endpoint of the treatment. That's exactly how I use my pen, and it's worked so well for both my skin and hair. After just a couple treatments of 1.5mm I've already noticed a huge difference in my skin and the regrowth on my scalp.

Note:
Be careful not to treat your skin too often. No more than once a month for face, and once every 2 weeks for scalp seems like a good frequency.

This is my first time using a micro needling pen and have to admit I was a bit nervous. I thought it would be painful.
It isnt at all! After using it for 2 weeks I am starting to see results.
So I started using the microneedle pen in up and down light strokes on my right cheek and I actually took a photo and uploaded to show you that I still have some red on the left cheek but on the right cheek the redness is dissipating quicker. (The green arrow.)

I like the fact that you can leave it plugged in and use it with the cord method or you can actually use it with the built-in battery and charge it up and remove it for use. Also the cartridges are easy to snap and turn onto the pen itself. Getting the cartridge off is easy as well, just follow the directions in the information booklet.
I do have sensitive skin but I would still recommend this to someone who has sensitive skin, has fine lines or discolorations on the face or other parts of the body that they would like to get rid of (or lessen the appearance of) this pen is also great to aid in anti-aging. I definitely feel like it's making my skin look younger and I'm fixing to proceed using the pen on the other cheek to see if f I get similar results on that side of my face.

When I compared the price of this microneedling pen to others I realized what a good value it is as far as price, I like the sleek styling and it is easy to grip. I also appreciate the light indicator window which lets me know when it's ready to go or if it needs charging. It does change from red to green when it's ready (great to know if you're going to use the wireless method).
Everything is included that you need in the box with easy to read and follow diagrams and instructions.
Another thing to keep in mind is that since this does penetrate the first layer of skin, I would not recommend wearing makeup on the days that you use your microneedling pen.
