I know that red light therapy can reduce inflammation, as well as joint and muscle pain.
My cat is almost 14 years old and suffers from moderate to severe arthritis. She takes gabapentin and buprenorphine daily, but I'm hoping red light therapy will provide her with additional relief. To protect her eyes, I wait until she's asleep and hold the light over her. I wear dark sunglasses during treatment. I also use the therapy for my hip bursitis. So far, there hasn't been any change, even though I've only used it three times. Based on my experience so far, I'm confident we'll both experience relief after several more treatments.
