This is a nice little straighter. It is very lightweight, heats up quickly, and is extremely portable. I would like a more sturdy feeling to the straightener, overall, but that has not proven to be problem and is just a nitpick on my end. I found that I was not able to get my desired look with it, but that is on me as I am trying something new and haven't mastered the skill. When I tried to straighten my hair back out, I wound up plugging in my regular straightener to save time. None of this is the fault of the straightener and comes back to me trying to learn a new skill and then lacking the patience to use this straighter in a way it wasn't intended to be used. It gets plenty hot enough to do what I need it to do. I say all of that to say this - if you use it for what it is intended, this straightener is perfect (after you've mastered the skill, clearly). If you attempt to use it for something that it isn't designed for, you will be disappointed.Overall, this straighter works exactly as described. It comes at an affordable price. I definitely recommend this product.
